Efectos de la pandemia de COVID-19 en el sector bancario peruano

Abstract

Los principales efectos sobre el sector bancario peruano fueron una caída en nivel de liquidez, solvencia, rentabilidad y eficiencia. La respuesta de las autoridades monetarias, fiscales y regulatorias del país fueron una pieza fundamental para enfrentar los efectos negativos de la crisis COVID-19. Dichas medidas apoyaron el crecimiento del crédito y mitigaron el impacto negativo inicial de la pandemia. Se identificaron aspectos claves que permitieron vencer los efectos del COVID-19 en el sector bancario: a) avance de la digitalización, b) adaptación a las necesidades del cliente y c) incremento de la eficiencia.
