Abstract

In many countries, the knoledge based economy only just become an important economic theme in public sector, although it has been on the agenda of international conferences on economy for the past five to 10 years. Several countries have been implementing knowledge based economy strategies which have been well documented for public sector. Various surveys of knowledge management practices in education institutions show the increasing awareness of knowledge management as a critical determinant of those organisations performance and its education process quality . They also make evident the increasing use of knowledge strategies, tools and processes in education systems.
