Abstract

This paper deals with a present-day issue in corporate finance, i.e. capital structure analysis. As the topic has a quite wide scope, our analysis is limited to the capital structure of large Romanian companies, in terms of maturity of resources. Hence, after a short theoretical presentation of the main capital structure rates (the rate of financial stability, the rate of short-term debt and the rate of financing structure), we calculated and interpreted these rates for a number of 26 large companies. In the conclusions section, we analysed the link between the investors’ interest, reflected by the number of transactions and stock exchange trading amounts, and the level of the analysed structure indicators.
