Abstract

The paper deals with the issue of the main trends registered by the mutual funds industry during the last 5 years. First, we discuss the evolution of the mutual fund market and we identify that the recent economic contraction has imposed the reorientation of the investment funds and its investors to other alternatives. Then, the global review presents four of the strategies outlined during the last years, strategies which define the main trends on the transfer and the reorientation of mutual fund industry.
