Abstract

The article provides an analysis of the stage in which the Romanian agriculture is found as regards the performance and competitiveness, by reference to the results of North America - United States and Canada, as well as the European Union. The paper analyzes the main features of advanced agriculture in terms of agricultural efficiency, namely the North American (American and Canadian) production systems, as well as the current state of agricultural development in the Member States of the European Union.
