Finansal Performans ve Pay Senedi Getirileri Arasındaki İlişkinin Entropi ve CoCoSo ÇKKV Teknikleriyle Analiz Edilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, 2015-2019 yıllarını kapsayan dönem için BİST Kimya, Petrol, Kauçuk ve Plastik ürünler sektörüne kayıtlı olan firmaların finansal performansı ile pay senedi getirileri arasındaki ilişkiyi analiz etmektir. Bu amaçla, çalışmanın ilk aşamasında Entropi yöntemi kullanılarak değerlendirme kriterlerine ilişkin ağırlık katsayıları, CoCoSo yönteminden faydalanılarak da firmaların söz konusu dönemler için finansal performansı ölçülmüştür. Sonrasında ise firmaların tespit edilen finansal performans sıralamaları ile yıllık pay senedi getiri sıralamaları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olup olmadığı korelasyon analizi ile incelenmiştir. Entropi yönteminden elde edilen ağırlık katsayılarının CoCoSo yöntemine dahil edilmesi ile ulaşılan sonuçlara göre incelenen dönemler itibariyle finansal açıdan performansı en yüksek olan firmanın 2017 yılı hariç tüm dönemlerde POLTK kodlu firma olduğu buna karşın en başarısız firmanın ise yıllara göre değişkenlik gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, korelasyon analizi sonucunda finansal performans sıralaması ile getiri sıralaması arasında 2018 yılı hariç tüm dönemlerde herhangi bir ilişkiye rastlanamamıştır. Bu sonuç, çalışma kapsamına alınan sektöre yatırım yapan tasarruf sahiplerinin, genel olarak yatırım kararı alma sürecinde firmaların geçmiş performanslarını dikkate almadıklarını ortaya koymaktadır.
