Türkiye’de Faaliyet Gösteren Ticari Bankaların Aktif Kalitesinin TOPSIS Yöntemi İle Ölçümü

Abstract

Bankacılık, ekonominin gelişmesine ve finansal istikrarın sağlanmasına büyük katkısı olan aynı zamanda da ekonomiye yön veren bir sektördür. Ekonomi üzerinde oldukça etkili olduğu bilinen bankaların, başarı oranlarının göstergelerinden biri kabul edilen aktif kalitelerinin yüksek olması beklenmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren ticari bankaların, aktif kalitesi bakımından değerlendirilmesi ve buna bağlı olarak bankaların aktif kalitesi büyüklüklerine göre sıralanmasıdır. Bu amaçla hazırlanan araştırma kapsamına Türkiye Bankalar Birliği’nin 2017 yılında açıkladığı aktif büyüklüklerine göre bankalar sıralamasında yer alan ilk on ticari banka dahil edilmiş ve Türkçe karşılığı İdeal Çözüme Dayalı Sıralama Tekniği olarak ifade edilen TOPSIS yöntemi kullanılarak bu ticari bankaların 2013-2017 yıllarındaki aktif kalitesine göre sıralamaları elde edilmiştir. Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren ticari bankaların aktif kalitesinin TOPSIS yöntemi ile ölçüldüğü bu araştırma, bankacılık sektörünün başarı kriterlerinden biri olan ve aynı zamanda sahip olunan varlıkların etkin yönetimi için oldukça önem taşıyan aktif kalitesine ilişkin sıralama yapılması ve literatürde buna ilişkin bir araştırma olmaması açısından önem taşımaktadır.
