Economic and Financial Expertise in Litigations- Theory and Practice

Abstract

Economic and financial expertise in a litigation is the key phase of the proceeding in law-suits where it is necessary to provide proof by expert assessment. The importance of expert assessment comes from the fact that findings and opinion of an expert determine the outcome of the dispute in a lawsuit. Parties in a lawsuit are active during the process of expert assessment, however, the role of the Judge is delicate, too, since he is the one to assess the findings and opinion on the matter he has insufficient knowledge of.
