Análisis Económico De La Guayaba En Calvillo, Aguascalientes, México

Abstract

Guava is a fruit that is produced in 97 countries in the world, with India being the most outstanding, which has 43.4% of the harvested area, and its closest competitor is Thailand, which has an area that represents 6.0%, these are parameters which reflected the importance of India in the field of fruit, Mexico ranked seventh with a 3.6% share. At the national level there are 22 states that produce guava, Aguascalientes was in second place with a contribution to the harvested area of 27.3%, the first producer is Michoacán with 48.2%, in relation to the volume of production the state of Aguascalientes contributed 28.0%. The methodological instrument that was used to carry out the research work was the Policy Analysis Matrix, which allowed to investigate the structure of income and costs and measure the profitability of guava production in the municipality of Calvillo, in this sense, it was determined that the producers presented positive private profitability.
