Abstract

This essay presents some of the findings and positions of authors and agencies of international and national recognition about the importance of business in the rural environment. It performs a review of the fundamentals, operations and results that have owned for fourteen years in Mexico, one of the strategies implemented by the Federal Government in conjunction with the state governments, whose aim is the strengthening, the identification, the systematization and exchange of business experiences in the rural sector, describing particularly, what happened in the state of Chihuahua in 2009, in which the Autonomous University of Chihuahua participated as a supporting character for the Evaluation Center; it concludes with the suggestion to continue, strengthen and take advantage on the experience both at the institutional and territorial level of performance.
