Abstract

King's effect has been known in scientific literature since the beginning of the 18th century but until now has only been studied by several economists. The general discussion of the issue in this article may be the foundation of much broader and more detailed research both from theoretical and practical perspectives. Firstly, we have adopted the assumptions and discussed previous work on the King effect to finally verify whether the six markets in Poland have the King effect. The data used were taken from the GUS database, possibly supplemented by data from Eurostat. / Synopsis.
