Konkurencyjność sektora rolno-spożywczego UE w świetle wyników handlu zagranicznego wybranych państw

Abstract

With the increasing competition in the global markets of agri-food products permanently sustaining the competitive potential of the EU agri-food sector becomes more and more important. The aim of the paper is to assess the competitiveness of EU agri-food sector based on the results of international trade in agri-food products and to name the direction of activities that could enable holding the current position of the EU at the global markets. The results show a systematic increase in the value of foreign trade and its concentration on chosen groups of products. It is recommendable that the EU concentrates on competing based on high quality and specific features of the agri-food products produced in the EU. / Synopsis. Wobec rosnącej konkurencji na światowych rynkach produktów rolno-spożywczych stałe podtrzymywanie potencjału konkurencyjnego sektora rolno-spożywczego UE nabiera rosnącego znaczenia. Celem artykułu jest ocena stanu konkurencyjności sektora rolno-spożywczego UE dokonana w oparciu o wyniki handlu zagranicznego artykułami rolno-spożywczymi oraz określenie kierunków działań mających na celu utrzymanie pozycji handlowej UE. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na systematyczny wzrost wartości wymiany handlowej oraz jej koncentrację na wybranych grupach produktów. Wskazano również na możliwość konkurowania w oparciu o jakość oraz unikalną specyfikę produktów rolno-spożywczych wytwarzanych w UE.
