Abstract

This paper analyzes the change of the productivity efficiency distribution of grape farms under controlled horticulture. For this, we use the farm level data surveyed by the Rural Development Administration. We choose 554 farm level data after screening inappropriate data during the past 13 years. For the analysis, first we use DEA to estimate the farm level productivity efficiency. Secondly, we use a kernel density function to show the change of the distribution of productivity efficiency over the past 13 years. We find that the distribution of productivity efficiency shifts to the right, which means the productivity efficiency of grapes farms has increased over the past 13 years.
