De la libéralisation des échanges au retour de protectionnismes ?

Abstract

Les 30 dernières années ont été marquées par un vaste mouvement de libéralisation des échanges des produits agricoles, qui a fortement impacté les filières agricoles européennes et contraint l’Europe à adopter des réformes de la politique agricole commune. De nombreux travaux de recherches conduits dans le département des sciences sociales à l’INRA ont évalué les conséquences et les efficacités économiques et environnementales de ces accords et réformes ainsi que leur compatibilité. Plus récemment, les causes et conséquences des volatilités sur les marchés agricoles mondiaux ont motivé de nouvelles recherches, conduites avec des outils d’analyse toujours plus riches. Nous assistons depuis quelques années à un mouvement plus protectionniste. Inévitablement, les sciences économiques seront questionnées sur les conséquences et pertinences de ces récentes décisions. Les cadres d’analyse devront à l’avenir encore s’enrichir pour éclairer des débats publics toujours plus complexes.
