Abstract

--------------- The cyclic variation on the markets of pore meat is an economic problem being treated by scientists since long. We attempted to answer the question why the cyclic variation was still recognised during the last ten years within the main pore producing states of the EU, moreover, how long is the time expected of the existing cycles. As a result it could be proved that the hog population, the appearance of the offer and the change of prices are subject to cyclic variations of different duration, each. The amplitude of changes in population are small, whereas the waves in production and prices are larger in amplitude.
