The purpose of the present study was to investigate whether the main fundamental and macroeconomic factors can explain oil stock performance on Romanian market for the period of March 2001 to March 2007. This paper focuses on the main economic factors that could affect stock price movement and can contribute in predicting future stock values. Generally, the results are consistent with the belief that changes in companies’ fundamentals and macroeconomic aggregates are likely to affect stock prices.
