Seasonal variation in mortality resulting from cardiovascular diseases (CVD) have been demonstrated e.g. in Norway and Ireland, with the highest levels observed during the coldest months of the year, with Jan/Aug CVD mortality ratios 1.22 and 1.35, respectively...
