Die regionalwirtschaftlichen Verflechtungen der Investitionen der Wien Energie 2018/2024

Abstract

Die Wien Energie, der größte regionale Energieanbieter in Österreich, verfolgt zur Erreichung der Klimaziele ein ehrgeiziges Investitionsprogramm. Bis 2030 sollen die Emissionen um ein Drittel gegenüber 2019 gesenkt werden, bis 2040 wird Klimaneutralität angestrebt. Seit 2018 sind die jährlichen Investitionen dafür von 90 auf über 300 Mio. € angestiegen. Die vorliegende Arbeit analysiert die regionalwirtschaftlichen Effekte, die mit diesen Investitionen während der Bauphase verbunden sind. Insgesamt investierte bzw. investiert die Wien Energie in der Periode 2018 bis 2024 rund 1,3 Mrd. € – dies entspricht einem durchschnittlichen jährlichen Volumen von etwa 190 Mio. €. Damit ist in der Bauphase eine Wertschöpfung von fast 130 Mio. € verbunden (durch die rund 1.400 Beschäftigungsverhältnisse ausgelastet werden), rund die Hälfte davon wird in Wien generiert. Zusätzlich fallen dabei im Wirtschaftskreislauf fast 50 Mio. € an Steuern und Sozialversicherungsabgaben an, die (nach Finanzausgleich) aber nur zu einem geringen Teil in Wien verbleiben.
