Abstract

In this paper we present the perception of a representative sample of the population connected to the university environment about advantages and disadvantages of renewable energy exploitation. The survey results indicate that the target population is definitively in favor of the renewable resources, and against continuing to produce electricity using the traditional pollutant fossil fuels. Nevertheless, the survey results revealed a lack of information or education for the Romanian students and graduates in regards to how they can contribute to environment protection.
