An�lisis Coste-Beneficio de la introducci�n de dispositivos ahorradores de agua. Estudio de un caso en el sector hotelero

Abstract

El agua es un factor productivo imprescindible para el desarrollo de la actividad de los establecimientos hoteleros. El consumo por persona alojada en estos establecimientos suele ser elevado, ya que llega a superar hasta en tres veces el consumo medio de la poblaci�n que reside en su propia vivienda. Por ello, en un contexto de creciente presi�n sobre este recurso natural escaso y estrat�gico, resulta de inter�s el estudio del consumo de agua en los hoteles y de sus posibilidades de ahorro. Este trabajo se ocupa del caso de un hotel de la ciudad de Zaragoza (Espa�a) en el que se han introducido reformas en sus equipamientos, adoptando tecnolog�as ahorradoras con la finalidad de reducir la cantidad de agua consumida. El trabajo analiza el impacto de tales reformas en el consumo, as� como su rentabilidad financiera y econ�mica. Los resultados muestran c�mo con una peque�a inversi�n puede obtenerse una muy significativa reducci�n del consumo de agua y, por tanto, de los costes asociados al mismo (de entre los que destaca el coste energ�tico).
