Caracterización del empleo en el sector palmicultor colombiano

Abstract

Este Cuaderno presenta los resultados del estudiode "Caracterización del empleo en el sector palmicultorcolombiano", realizado a partir de una serie de Encuestas atrabajadores y hogares del sector palmicultor y de sectoressimilares (agroindustriales); Encuestas a las empresas delsector; Encuestas a las Cooperativas de Trabajo Asociadoy a Empresas de Trabajo Temporal donde éstas existen; yEntrevistas a gerentes de empresas del sector, a líderesde las comunidades, y a expertos ambientales.Los resultados incluyen el análisis de las dinámicasy relaciones laborales que se presentan en el sector y elimpacto que éstas tienen en el bienestar de los hogares, asícomo la percepción de diferentes agentes sobre el impactode la producción y transformación de la palma de aceiteen el desarrollo local. Se encuentran efectos del sector entérminos de la existencia de diferencias laborales, salarialesy de calidad de vida en favor de los trabajadores del sectorpalmicultor y sus hogares.
