Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der klassische Auditprozess im Qualitätsmanagement eines Krankenhauses ist ein Vergleich von Soll und Ist, von Theorie und Praxis, von Vorgabe und Erfüllung. Ein Audit dient grundlegend dazu, neue Perspektiven zu eröffnen und erste Antworten auf Fragen wie „Was ist noch wichtig, interessant oder zu verbessern?“ oder „Was wäre, wenn …?“ zu geben. Ein Audit kann auch im Krankenhaus helfen, Potenziale zur Optimierung von Prozessen und Arbeitsweisen zu ermitteln, ein Managementsystem, zum Beispiel für Qualität nach international anerkannten ISO-Standards einzuführen und weiterzuentwickeln, die Einführung oder die Einhaltung neuer Vorgabe zu bewerten, eine Änderung von Abläufen auf ihre Umsetzung in der Praxis zu prüfen, Chancen und Risiken zu ermitteln und generell die Auswirkungen von Veränderungen bei Prozessen, Dienstleistungen, Standorten und Rahmenbedingungen auf die betriebliche Praxis zu verfolgen.
