Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im ersten Kapitel beschreibt Christian seinen Weg vom Neubürger der Gemeinde Herrsching am Ammersee zum qualifizierten Feuerwehrmann, vom erfolgreichen und mehrfach ausgezeichneten Geschäftsmann zur freiwilligen Rettungseinsatzkraft – in etwas weniger als einem Jahr. Dabei lässt er immer wieder „tief blicken“ und uns an seiner Gefühlswelt teilhaben – vom Gedankenkarussell, das ein Werbeflyer in ihm auslöste, über die emotionalen Widerstände, die sich angesichts seines Alters auftaten, bis hin zur Euphorie, die ihn nach erfolgreichen Einsätzen überkommt. Besonders beeindruckend dabei ist die Zugänglichkeit der Institution „Freiwillige Feuerwehr“ und das in vielen Bereichen vorbildliche, pragmatische Vorgehen im Rahmen von Ausbildung und Einsatz.
