Wpływ zagranicznych banków macierzystych na rentowność ich filii i oddziałów w Polsce podczas kryzysu finansowego

Abstract

Celem badania było sprawdzenie czy podczas globalnego kryzysu finansowego i kryzysu zadłużeniowego w strefie euro, sytuacja ekonomiczna banków matek miała wpływ na rentowności ich filii w Polsce. Wyniki empiryczne oparte na danych panelowych, zawierających zarówno dane na poziomie mikro, jak i makro, z wykorzystaniem Uogólnionej Metody Momentów, wykazały różnice w determinantach wyników pomiędzy zagranicznymi bankami zależnymi i oddziałami zagranicznych instytucji kredytowych. Ponadto w niniejszym artykule stwierdzono dodatnią korelację między sytuacja ekonomiczną banków macierzystych, a rentownością ich podmiotów powiązanych w Polsce, głównie podczas globalnego kryzysu finansowego.
