Abstract

Where do effective impulses for social transformation come from? Today the first thought probably does not fall on religion. However, the diffusion of organic food proves that Anthroposophy is an important mind-set driving changes. In addition secular pragmatism is needed for the spread of the new modes of production. Therefore, one of the most important factors is simplification. It represents a central transformation mechanism – but just if the organic standard is not weakened too much. The transformation is presented as a multi-layered process with interlinked mechanisms. Within this process community supported agriculture is introduced as a real utopia.
