Abstract

The article examines demographic differences in the perception of performance characteristics of waste disposal services. A household survey was carried out inspired by the European Customer Satisfaction Index (ECSI). Factorial as well as regression analyses were applied. Results showed that there are significant differences in the characteristics of age and gender: Younger, male respondents were more satisfied with their waste disposal service than older, female respondents. The findings enable a holistic view on single dimensions as well as on the overall satisfaction with waste disposal services. Consequently, the results facilitate more confidence in making decisions about future investments into different demographic groups.
