Abstract

Research on management problems in private nonprofit organizations has been formed internationally and in German-speaking countries for around 50 years in its own scientific community. While the focus was originally on the specifics of NPO, a trend towards a rapprochement with the mainstream of commercial research has been discernible in recent years. This corresponds with an increasing awareness of social entrepreneurship and hybrid organization forms.
