Más allá de los datos exitosos. La materialización de la política habitacional en Ecuador del 2007 al 2017

Abstract

El presente artículo recaba información sobre tres momentos históricos en las políticas habitacionales de Ecuador. El primero corresponde a la intervención estatal directa, el segundo al modelo subsidiario de vivienda, cuando el BID promueve programas habitacionales en países de la región, y el tercero cuando el gobierno de turno de corte progresista incrementa la inversión en vivienda social y financia proyectos habitacionales directamente. Es en este último momento la reflexión se enfoca en la materialización de las políticas habitacionales que promovían en el Buen Vivir, por lo que la pregunta central intenta recabar información sobre la garantía del derecho a la vivienda y a la ciudad en el país.
