Migración y pandemia. Un análisis global sobre el inicio de la crisis sanitaria por COVID-19

Abstract

La COVID-19, ha puesto a prueba la capacidad de los organismos internacionales para responder al panorama que enfrenta el fenómeno migratorio. Se parte de cuatro casos generales en el escenario internacional. El primer caso, estudia el rechazo hacia los migrantes en otros países y en sus lugares de origen. El segundo caso aborda la indolencia de las sedes diplomáticas, frente a sus connacionales. El tercero estudia la situación de los campos de refugiados y centros de detención. El cuarto y último analiza el mercado laboral y la participación de los inmigrantes en las economías receptoras. El método de investigación que se utilizó en este estudio, que correlaciona las variables inmigración-pandemia, será el inductivo para dar cuenta a este estudio fenomenológico. Finalmente se comprueba que la pandemia vino a incrementar y evidenciar los problemas del fenómeno migratorio, así como la normalización e infravaloración de la vida de estos seres humanos.
