A regionális versenyképességről
[Regional competitiveness]

Abstract

A versenyképesség a piaci versengésre való készséget jelenti, a pozíciószerzés és tartós helytállás képességét, amit elsősorban az üzleti sikeresség, a piaci részesedés és a jövedelmezőség növelése jelez. Így a különböző piacok (termék-, munkapiac stb.), az eltérő inputok (például vállalkozókészség, szaktudás, természeti erőforrások stb.) és a verseny (vállalati, nemzetközi, városverseny stb.) egyedi sajátosságai miatt a versenyképességnek más-más jellegzetességei lehetnek a meghatározók. A vállalati versenyképességben döntő a gazdasági tevékenységek földrajzi elhelyezkedése, a versenyelőnyök többsége iparáganként az országon belül csak néhány térséghez, sokszor egy-egy régióhoz, városhoz kapcsolódik. A távolság és a tér szerepe átalakult, a globalizáció hatására formálódó gazdaságokban az egyik legmarkánsabb folyamat a lokalizáció (és a regionalizáció) erősödése, a decentralizáció és a szubszidiaritás elvének elfogadása, amely folyamat elsősorban a tudásalapú gazdasághoz kapcsolódva a fejlett országokban szinte mindenütt megfigyelhető. A tanulmány a szakirodalom eredményeiből kiindulva, a regionális versenyképesség fogalmi hátterét és speciális szempontjait tekinti át. A térbeli szemlélet, a regionális versenyképesség fogalmának értelmezését követően egy általános modellt vázol, amely a régiók, térségek és városok versenyképességének vizsgálatához, értékeléséhez Magyarországon is fogalmi keretül szolgálhat.
