Veri Zarflama Analizi (VZA) ve Malmquist Toplam Faktor Verimliligi (TFV): Konaklama Isletmelerinde Bir Uygulama

Abstract

Global dunyada yogun rekabet kendini gostermektedir. Bu surecte hemen hemen butun ekonomilerin, kurumlarin, toplumlarin ve bireylerin yuksek rekabet kulturune uygun davranmasi zorunlu olmaktadir. Konaklama isletmelerinin etkinligi ve verimliligi ise yogun rekabet ortaminda cok daha onemli hale gelmektedir. Calismada konaklama isletmelerinin (otel, motel, pansiyon, tatil koyu, kamping ve kaplica gibi dinlenme tesisi) verileri kullanilmistir. Bu dogrultuda calismanin amaci, 2007- 2010 donemi Ege, Bati Marmara, Dogu Marmara ve Akdeniz bolgesindeki illerin teknik etkinlik, teknik etkinlikteki degisme, teknolojik degisim ve toplam faktor verimliligi ve bilesenlerindeki degismelerin olcumudur. Calismada toplam tesise gelis sayisi ve geceleme sayisi cikti olarak kullanilirken, toplam yatak kapasitesi ise girdi olarak kullanilmistir. Konaklama isletmeleri girdilerini artirmaktan ziyade mevcut girdiler ile daha fazla cikti elde etmeyi hedeflediklerinden ciktiya yonelik veri zarflama analizi kullanilmasi tercih edilmistir. Teknik etkinlik ve toplam faktor verimliligindeki degismeleri olcmede Veri Zarflama Analizi ve Malmquist Toplam Faktor Verimliligi endeksi yontemlerinden yararlanilmistir. Calisma sonucunda Akdeniz ve Ege bolgesindeki illerdeki konaklama isletmelerinin Bati ve Dogu Marmara bolgesindekine gore turistik acidan zengin ve gelismis oldugu belirlenmistir. 2007-2010 donemi ortalama teknik etkinlik degerlerine gore ise hicbir ilin ve konaklama isletmelerinin etkin olamadigi sonucu bulunmustur.
