Die Versicherungswirtschaft im Spiegel der ifo Konjunkturumfrage

Abstract

Die vierteljährliche ifo Konjunkturumfrage in der Versicherungswirtschaft wurde im Jahr 1999 in Kooperation mit dem Gesamtverband der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft eingeführt. Der vorliegende Beitrag präsentiert zunächst wichtige Kennzahlen der Branche und diskutiert die neuesten Ergebnisse der ifo Konjunkturumfrage insgesamt und nach Versicherungssparten. Danach wird das Geschäftsklima in der Versicherungswirtschaft mit dem Geschäftsklima Deutschland verglichen. Durch den späteren Meldetermin hat der Indikator für die Versicherungsbranche gegenüber einem quartalisierten Klimaindikator Deutschland einen Vorlauf. Abschließend wird gezeigt, dass der zyklische Zusammenhang zwischen der Lage- und Erwartungskomponente des Geschäftsklimas für die Versicherer analog zur ifo Konjunkturuhr Deutschland in einem Vier-Quadranten-Schema dargestellt werden kann.
