Abstract

The provision of Russian regions with housing is the most significant factor affecting the quality of life of the population. The main indicators of housing conditions of the population, such as the total area of living quarters per person, determined statistically, give an idea about the current situation of housing conditions of the population in each studied period in comparison with the previous ones. In addition, the indicators of housing, differentiated by regions of the Russian Federation, show on which of them the authority should especially focus its efforts in improving housing policy and as a consequence improve the quality of life of the population in them. The subject of the article is a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the housing situation in Russia, as well as regional differentiation of housing conditions, including urban and rural areas.Â
