Ehrbarer Staat? Die Generationenbilanz. Update 2012: Demografie und Arbeitsmarkt

Abstract

In Sachen Staatsverschuldung gilt Deutschland gegenwärtig als Musterschüler in Europa. Doch haben wir tatsächlich bereits alle Hausaufgaben gemacht und die Staatsschulden fest im Griff? Dieser Frage geht die vorliegende Studie nach, in der auf Basis der aktualisierten Generationenbilanzierung die Nachhaltigkeit der öffentlichen Haushalte überprüft wird. Darüber hinaus untersuchen die Autoren, wie sich der demografische Wandel in den kommenden Jahrzehnten auf das Arbeitsangebot auswirkt und welche fiskalischen Rückwirkungen sich daraus ergeben werden.
