Von Künstlern lernen: Mehrfachbeschäftigung, Bildung und Einkommen auf den Arbeitsmärkten von Künstlern

Abstract

Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht die Frage, welchen Einfluss das Bildungsniveau auf das Einkommen und die Dauer von Beschäftigungsverhältnissen mehrfach beschäftigter Künstler ausübt. Als Datengrundlagen für die Beantwortung der Forschungsfragen wurden der Mikrozensus 2003 und die IAB-Beschäftigtenstichprobe 1975-2001 (IABS) ausgewählt. Trotz massiver Datenrestriktionen wird in diesem Beitrag gezeigt, dass ein hohes Bildungsniveau einen stark positiven Effekt auf das Gesamteinkommen mehrfach beschäftigter Künstler ausübt. Für die Berufsgruppe der darstellenden Künstler gilt dieser Zusammenhang bei Mehrfachbeschäftigung auch für ihr Einkommen im Hauptarbeitsverhältnis. Die Verweildauer in Beschäftigung ist für die beiden Künstlergruppen signifikant unterschiedlich - Musiker mit hohem Qualifikationsniveau erreichen eine deutlich längere Beschäftigungsdauer, während der Beruf 'darstellender Künstler' hingegen traditionell eine hohe Arbeitsmarktmobilität erfordert, die sich in kurzen Sequenzen unterschiedlicher Beschäftigungsverhältnisse niederschlägt.
