Reflexionen zur Zukunft der Arbeit

Abstract

Die Erwerbsgesellschaft der Zukunft bietet neben neuen Risiken und neuer Unübersichtlichkeit vor allem vielfältige neue Chancen. Um sie bestmöglich zu nutzen, brauchen Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Politik ein neues Denken und Handeln, das die Familienfreundlichkeit der Arbeitswelt viel stärker betont, Bildung endlich zum Top-Thema macht, die Lebensarbeitszeit fair verlängert und offen um qualifizierte Zuwanderer wirbt. Nur so lässt sich die Zukunft der Arbeit positiv gestalten. Das Potenzial Deutschlands liegt in Zukunft stärker als je zuvor in den klugen Köpfen seiner Bürger. Deshalb sind Investitionen in das Humankapital, mehr Chancengleichheit im Bildungsbetrieb und ein Abbau von Arbeitsmarktbarrieren für Akteure nichtdeutscher Herkunft unverzichtbar. Die Unternehmen sind ebenso in der Pflicht, sich der Zeitenwende auf dem Arbeitsmarkt zu stellen, wollen sie angesichts von Demografie, Globalisierung und Technologiefortschritt nicht ihren eigenen wirtschaftlichen Erfolg aufs Spiel setzen. Gefragt sind nicht nur innovative Arbeitszeit-, Qualifizierungs- und Entlohnungsmodelle, sondern auch neue Wege der Mitarbeitergewinnung und Personalführung, mehr Mitarbeiterbeteiligung und mehr Chancengleichheit von Frauen oder Zuwanderern sowie eine Produktionsplanung unter Berücksichtigung unweigerlich alternder Belegschaften. Der Fachkräftemangel wird die Verhandlungsmacht überdurchschnittlich gut qualifizierter und jüngerer Arbeitskräfte deutlich wachsen lassen. Dies wird mit einer noch stärkeren Kluft zwischen Gewinnern und Verlierern auf dem Arbeitsmarkt einhergehen. Die Arbeit geht uns nicht aus, sie erfordert aber mehr denn je ein hohes Maß an Eigenverantwortlichkeit des Einzelnen in Bildung, Ausbildung und Beruf und die Bereitschaft, sich immer wieder um neue und bessere Qualifikationen aktiv zu bemühen.
