Entlastungspakete und Energiepreisbremse stabilisieren Konsum in Deutschland

Abstract

Die Auswertung der dritten Welle der IMK-Energiepreisbefragung zeigt: Trotz weiter gestiegener Preise fuer Haushaltsenergie und gestiegener Inflationsraten zwischen August und Dezember 2022 ist die wahrgenommene Belastung der Menschen in Deutschland durch die hohen Energiepreise zurueckgegangen. Gleichzeitig aeusserte ein geringerer Anteil der Befragten, sich beim Konsum einschraenken zu wollen, auch wenn die Plaene zu Ausgabenkuerzungen weiterhin weitverbreitet sind. Zudem schaetzten die Haushalte ihre individuellen Entlastungen aus den ersten beiden Entlastungspaketen im Dezember deutlich hoeher ein als noch im August - obwohl beide Pakete bereits im August vollstaendig bekannt waren. Auch die Entlastungen aus Strom- und Gaspreisbremse werden von den Befragten als individuell sehr relevant eingeschaetzt. So laesst sich aus den Befragungsdaten schliessen, dass die Entlastungspakete und Preisbremsen der Bundesregierung derzeit einen spuerbaren Beitrag zur Stabilisierung des Privatkonsums in Deutschland leisten.
