Abstract

"Der erste Teil der Untersuchung betrachtet detailliert die Beschäftigungsstrukturen der Zeitarbeitsbranche im Saarland, das mittelfristig eine überdurchschnittlich hohe Leiharbeitsquote aufweist. Diese hohe Nachfrage für Leiharbeitskräfte ist auf die ausgeprägte Präsenz des Verarbeitenden Gewerbes zurückzuführen. Wegen der starken Exportorientierung dieses Sektors weist die Leiharbeit eine hohe konjunkturelle Sensivität auf. In der Zeitarbeitsbranche arbeiten vorwiegend junge männliche Arbeitskräfte in Vollzeit und üben größtenteils einfache Hilfs- und Lagertätigkeiten in Fertigungsberufen aus. Der zweite Teil dieser Untersuchung besteht aus einer erwerbsbiographischen Analyse, welche jeweils die Erwerbszustände und die Erwerbsverläufe von Zeitarbeitern im Saarland aus den Jahren 2006 und 2007 in den 14 bzw. 180 Tagen vor und nach ihrer Zeitarbeitsbeschäftigung miteinander vergleicht. Die empirischen Ergebnisse geben Hinweise darauf, dass eine Leiharbeitsbeschäftigung im Saarland kurz- und mittelfristig keine breite Brücke in den regulären Arbeitsmarkt bildet."
