Nota sobre la simplificación y mejora del nivel asistencial de la protección por desempleo (RD Ley 7/2023)

Abstract

La economía española mantiene en la historia reciente una elevada tasa de desempleo (con un promedio del 15,9% durante el periodo 2002-2023), muy superior al promedio de los países de la Unión Europea (en torno al 9% en el mismo periodo). Si bien se ha reducido en los últimos años (hasta el 12,4% en 2023), esta tasa sigue en un nivel preocupante tanto por lo que implica en la calidad de vida de las personas que la sufren (unos 2,9 millones en la actualidad) como por su incidencia en el potencial de crecimiento de la economía española.
