Abstract

Trotz vergangener Privatisierungswellen kommt dem Staat infolge der Globalisierung weltweit weiterhin eine große Bedeutung als Eigentümer von Unternehmen zu. Die vorliegende Studie bietet eine aktuelle Bestandsaufnahme zur standort- und industriepolitischen Bedeutung des Staates als langfristiger Investor. Sie untersucht anhand theoretischer Überlegungen, internationaler empirischer Evidenz sowie der jüngsten weltweiten Entwicklung die Einsatzmöglichkeiten und Grenzen von staatlichen Unternehmensbeteiligungen.
