[Infrastructural investments for international sports events. Network expansion of the MOL Bubi bicycle-sharing system for the FINA World Aquatics Championship]

Abstract

Tanulmányunkban a Mol Bubi kerékpármegosztó rendszer 17. FINA vizes világbajnokságra átadott új gyűjtőállomásainak esemény utáni kihasználtságát vizsgáljuk és vetjük össze a hálózathoz korábban csatolt új gyűjtőállomások kihasználtsági adataival. Két módszertani megközelítést, az eseményvizsgálatot, illetve a különbségek különbsége módszeren alapuló hatásbecslést alkalmazva megmutatjuk, hogy az új gyűjtőállomások kihasználtsága miben különbözik a korábbi bővítések során átadott, hasonló jellemzőjű gyűjtőállomások kihasználtságától. Megállapítható, hogy az újonnan átadott gyűjtőállomások a hálózat szerves részévé váltak, azonban kihasználtságuk lényegesen kisebb, mint a hálózatban korábban átadott gyűjtőállomásoké. A különbség még inkább szembetűnő - nagyságrendileg 30 százalékos -, ha a hálózat déli gyűjtőállomásaihoz viszonyítunk. Ez az alacsony kihasználtság azonban nem specifikusan a FINA-gyűjtőállomásokra, hanem általában az északi gyűjtőállomásokra vonatkozik. Eredményeink azt sugallják, hogy a kerékpármegosztó rendszer bővítése indokoltabb lett volna a hálózat más pontjain.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: C22, H54, R42.
