Eleştirel Kozmopolit Bir Düşünür Olarak İbn Haldun

Abstract

Kozmopolitizm, şahsî bir hayat tarzı yahut cihanşümul bir ahlâk anlayışı yahut küresel bir siyasî müessese değildir. O, "cosmo-polis" bir dünya görüşüdür, "cosmo- polis"ten kasıt ise vatandaşların evrensel topluluğudur. Şimdiye kadar, eleştirel kozmopolitliğin teorisyeni olarak İbn Haldun'un değeri ortaya koyulmamıştır. İbn Haldun'un kozmopolit görüşündeki ayırıcı unsur, belirleyici fark onun Mısır, Mağrib ve Endülüs gibi farklı ve çoğunlukla rekabet hâlinde şehirli şeçkin düzeninin kesişme noktalarını bulmak için gösterdiği çabadır. Aslında İbn Haldun'u ve onun neslinin kozmopolit seçkinlerinin en büyük farkı onların "edebiyat" ile olan uyumlarıydı. İbn Haldun asabiyet, ümran ve bedeviye gibi yeni ıstılahları farklı anlam katmanları ile icat etmiştir. İbn Haldun, dini, dinî norm ve değerleri, müesseseleri insanlığın kozmopolit vizyonunda merkezî bir noktada görmektedir.
