These rankings take only into account authors registered with the RePEc Author Service. As authors do not report whether they are male or female during registration, female authors are determined with pattern matching on first names along with a list of exceptions. Note that since August 2007, the ranking is determined solely among women and may thus differ from extracting women from the general ranking.
