Abstract

Jean-Paul Fitoussi (*) a publié en janvier 1999 le premier « Rapport sur l'état de l'Union européenne ». Exercice de réflexion et d'analyse destiné à être renouvelé et à suivre, dans le projet des auteurs, année après année, les développements économiques et sociaux de l'Union européenne, l'ouvrage propose au lecteur une lecture très politique des liens entre monnaie unique et emploi, et en récuse la dimension prescrite. Lors d'un débat organisé à la DARES le 9 juillet dernier, Jean-Claude Barbier (**) et Michel Didier (***) ont accepté de réagir aux propos de Jean-Paul Fitoussi, esquissant quatre « modèles » alternatifs de développement économique, ouverts à l'Europe après l'Euro (...).
