Frustration relative et individualisation des inégalités

Abstract

La frustration relative est un schéma d’explication des conduites sociales trop général pour se suffire à lui-même. Il convient donc d’en évaluer la portée quand l’expérience des inégalités s’individualise et se diversifie lorsqu'on s’éloigne d’une structuration des inégalités en termes de classes sociales. Quels cadres de comparaison sont mobilisés, comment sont attribuées des causes aux injustices sociales, quels schémas moraux conduisent à agir ? Il n'est pas exclu que la rencontre de l’individualisation des inégalités et de la frustration relative explique aujourd’hui le développement des populismes.
