Die (Neue) Institutionenökonomik als Ansatz für einen erweiterten, offeneren Zugang zur Volkswirtschaftslehre

Abstract

Weder die 2008 ausgebrochene Finanzkrise, noch die in den Medien laut gewordene Kritik, noch Einwürfe vereinzelter heterodoxer Ökonomen und wohl noch viel weniger die von den Betroffenen selbst, also den Studierenden, geäußerten Zweifel an der Sinnhaftigkeit der orthodoxen Ökonomie haben etwas daran geändert: Die ‚Grundlagen der Volkswirtschaftslehre‘ sowie das übliche Angebot an Nebenfachstudierende sind über die letzten Jahre wenn nicht Jahrzehnte völlig gleich geblieben. Ein Blick in die Curricula oder die dafür verwendeten Lehrbücher bestätigt dies. Um dies zu erklären, werden in dieser Arbeit zunächst Inhalte und Beschränkungen des heute orthodoxen Kanons dogmengeschichtlich hergeleitet. Überprüft wird dieser Kanon im Weiteren anhand ökonomischer Probleme der vergangenen Jahrzehnte bzw. an dem Beitrag, den die Volkswirtschaftslehre zu ihrer Lösung leisten konnte. Herausgearbeitet wird damit auch die Entwicklungsfähigkeit des Fachs bzw. das Auftreten systematischer Defizite. Zur Überwindung Letzterer wird die Erweiterung des Kanons im Sinne der (Neuen) Institutionellen Ökonomik erwogen. Auf dieser Basis wird das hiermit vorgelegte Papier mit dem Vorschlag einer detaillierten Inhaltsangabe einer Einführungsvorlesung abgeschlossen.
