Estrategias de socialización económica en padres de familia

Abstract

The purpose of this research, in a descriptive way, is to describe the socialand economic alphabetization strategic for a total of 40 families, 34 withboth parents and 6 with at least one parent from the Barranquilla middlesocio-economic class.The economic alphabetization strategies and practices that parents use toapply are: talking about the use of the money, encourage saving strategies,go out with the children and the most common practice: the piggy-bank".The middle class parents and sons have an idea of economic knowledge asthe role government role among others. Regarding their attitude towardparents indebtedness was seen the most of them showed a trend to beaustere and to have reflexive features in their shopping habits.El propósito de esta investigación, de tipo descriptiva, consistió endescribir las estrategias socializadoras y de alfabetización económicaen una muestra conformada por 40 familias, 34 biparentales y 6 monoparentales,de estrato socioeconómico medio de la ciudad de Barranquilla.Las estrategias y prácticas de alfabetización económica que lospadres suelen utilizar son: el conversar acerca del uso del dinero, estrategiasde fomento del ahorro, salir con los hijos de compras y la prácticade ahorro más común: `la alcancía´. Padres e hijos de las familiaspertenecientes al estrato medio poseen conocimientos en economíacomo el rol del dinero, su ciclo y circulación y el rol del estado, entreotros elementos. En cuanto a la actitud hacia el endeudamiento de los padres de familia, se observó que la mayor parte de ellos tiende a ser de carácter austero y poseer hábitos de compra de carácter reflexivo."
