El Creciente Rol de las Compañías Militares Privadas en la Escena Internacional: Implicancias para el Continente Africano

  • Maria Julia Arango
Registered author(s):

    En el presente trabajo se tratará un fenómeno que no ha sido debidamente tomado en cuenta en la agenda de los temas tratados por la comunidad internacional: la contratación por parte de Estados, Organizaciones Internacionales y actores transnacionales de Compañías Militares Privadas (PMCs) para realizar una serie de funciones militares y de seguridad, que tradicionalmente eran conferidas al Estado. El objetivo principal de este trabajo será explicar las causas que generaron el surgimiento de este fenómeno, para luego hacer una descripción del mismo, haciendo un análisis de las consecuencias que podría generar para el Sistema Internacional en general y en especial para África, dada la generalidad con que se ha esparcido este fenómeno en dicho continente.
