Abstract

Forestry machine building in Russia is in the midst of a severe crisis. Its sources lie in the disproportions of the Soviet Union's administrative command economy. The article presents a set of strategies for restructuring the sector that, in the author's opinion, help to accelerate firms' adaptation to market economy conditions.
