What Kind of Liquidity Does the Central Bank Support?
The author analyzes measures of monetary policy in Russia. It is shown that along with positive directions, such as the decision to increase the banking sector's liquidity and decrease the mandatory reserve standard, there were also restraining measures, such as raising the refinancing rate and withdrawing ruble liquidity through current exchange transactions.
